Is there a contract or commitment?

No contract, no commitment, no auto-renewal traps. Single audits are one-time payments. Pro Monthly and Pro Annual are cancelable at any time from the Customer Portal - if you cancel mid-period, you keep Pro access until the current billing period ends and you're not charged again.

What does the money-back guarantee actually cover?

If Audra doesn't surface at least one finding worth more than the audit fee, we refund the audit. Refunds are processed within 5 business days back to your original payment method. The guarantee applies per audit on the single-audit plan and to your first month on Pro.

Can I refund a purchase I changed my mind on?

Yes — one-time purchases are refundable within 3 days, as long as you haven't used the audit credit yet. Past that window or once the credit is consumed, we'll apply a 5% goodwill credit toward your next purchase instead. The credit auto-applies at checkout; no code to remember.

Can I switch between One-time and Pro plans?

Yes. You can upgrade from One-time to Pro at any time (any remaining one-time credits stay in your account, usable until consumed or your Pro plan covers everything). Downgrading from Pro to one-time is also one click from the Customer Portal — your Pro access ends at the next billing date and you switch to pay-as-you-go.

What if my insurance already paid the bill?

Audra still finds errors regardless of whether insurance paid. Errors in the original charges affect your deductible, copay, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximum. We frequently find overcharges on already-paid bills that result in refunds from the provider or credits applied to future visits.

Is there a family plan?

Yes — Pro Family is $29/mo (or $278/yr annual) and covers up to 40 audits/month across up to 5 family members on a single billing account. Each member keeps their own audit history; the primary account holder manages billing. Good fit for caretakers running bills for spouse + kids + aging parents.

What if I only need a few audits per month?

Pro Lite is $9/mo for up to 5 audits per month — a softer commitment than full Pro. Good for someone who has occasional medical bills and wants the appeal-letter and tracking features without paying for capacity they won't use. You can upgrade to Pro any time without losing your audit history.

Why are there audit caps if Pro is described as a subscription?

Each Pro tier has a per-month fair-use cap (Lite: 5, Pro: 25, Family: 40). The caps exist because every audit costs us real money in AI compute — we want our subscription pricing to stay sustainable so we're around in 10 years. The caps are well above normal household use (the average person has 2-5 medical bills per year); they only matter if you're running a billing-advocate practice or have very heavy chronic-care needs. Email us and we'll set up enterprise pricing if you do.

Do you offer discounts for nonprofits, students, or financial hardship?

Yes. We offer hardship pricing for households under 200% of the federal poverty line - email [email protected] with a brief note about your situation. Students with a .edu address get 50% off Pro Annual. Nonprofit case workers (advocacy groups, social workers helping clients with bills) can request a no-cost Pro account by emailing us.

How long do my audits stick around?

Forever, while your account is active. Every audit and appeal letter is permanently saved to your dashboard, including bills you uploaded years ago. If you delete your account, all audits are removed within 30 days (hard-delete, see our Privacy page for details).

Is my payment information secure?

Audra never sees or stores your card details. All payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified (the highest tier of card processing security). We receive only a transaction confirmation and never have access to your card number, CVC, or full bank account info.

Can I use Audra without insurance?

Yes. Audra works on bills regardless of insurance status. For uninsured patients, audits often surface even larger savings because hospital chargemaster rates (what uninsured patients are billed) are 2-10x what insurers pay. The appeal letter includes specific federal protections that apply to self-pay patients, including charity care eligibility.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover). We also accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, and Cash App Pay through Stripe Checkout. HSA and FSA cards are accepted on the same checkout flow as regular cards.
